CCA's Vision

Covenant Christian Academy is an independent school established to cultivate the covenant relationship between God and the Christian family through classical education from a Reformed Biblical worldview, emphasizing high academic standards, honor, integrity, servanthood, and accountability.

Covenant means that God has created us for Himself to live by grace under His sovereign rule. As part of that personal relationship, God has delegated the responsibility for the education of children to their parents, not the State. Consequently, Covenant Christian Academy strives to support parental authority as a servant of the family. Covenant Christian Academy is thus discipling and tutorial service to families, providing them with a biblically-based, classical curriculum.

Christian means that Covenant Christian Academy intentionally teaches a Christian way of looking at life -- personal, church, and public -- that is based on Bible truth. Reformed Christian faith implies that we look to Scripture alone as the rule of life and faith. We seek to demonstrate a provocatively biblical, reproducible model of Christian life and love through our faculty and staff. Ultimately, we desire that each student discover and deepen his dependency on God the Father through His Son Jesus Christ, in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Academy means that Covenant Christian Academy advocates a biblical worldview through classical education. This philosophy of education emphasizes the thinking skills and character development necessary to shape young men and women into lifelong learners. CCA encourages every student to develop a contagious love for learning by providing an orderly atmosphere conducive to developing the mind, body, and spirit.

Statement of Faith

The statement of faith adopted by CCA is limited to that primary Christian doctrine which is considered to be central to all Christian denominations and which sets Protestant Christianity apart from all other faiths. These statements are also the key elements of Christianity that will be unapologetically taught in various ways through all grade levels. The substance of these statements is that which will be considered primary doctrine at CCA. Secondary doctrinal issues will not be presented as primary doctrine. When issues relating to these secondary types of doctrine arise, the student will be referred back to his family and local church for final authority.

1. We believe that the Bible is the only, infallible, authoritative Word of God, verbally and fully inspired in the original text and that it is the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
2. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
3. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His person return in power and glory.
4. We believe that all men are, by nature and by choice, sinners destitute of all power to save themselves.
5. We believe, therefore, that the only means of salvation is the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit on the basis of the atoning work of and personal faith in Christ.
6. We believe in the Church, the spiritual body of which Jesus Christ is the Head and of which all regenerated persons are members.
7. We believe that the visible church is the company of believers in Jesus Christ, gathered for worship, work, and fellowship.
8. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is empowered to live a godly life.
9. We believe in the resurrection of the saved and the lost: those that are saved unto the resurrection of life and those that are lost unto the resurrection of the damned.

St. Luke's is pleased to share its facilities with Covenant Christain Academy. We are two separate entities, but we share the same Chrisitan understanding of God's creation and the need for Christian education.
